I'm going to talk about my upcoming headshot photo day in Cookham, near Maidenhead. But first, do you know the meme of "Woman Alone Laughing with Salad"? It's a collection of stock photos of women looking awkwardly happy while eating a salad. They often look very fake and unauthentic to anyone's experience eating salad! Here are a couple examples below, including one of my own.
Do you feel awkward someone tries to take your photo, that you are faking a smile for the camera? Let me help you feel like yourself, and not a woman alone laughing with salad! I mean, who laughs with a salad - and I even like salad!
I am running a headshot day on the 13th May this year, taking place at a Covid-secure venue in Cookham. These will be an opportunity for people who need just one or two new photos to update and refresh their usual business profile photos online for a small price compared to my usual full personal branding sessions.
The location for the session is the Chartered Institute for Marketing, Moor Hall, Cookham, SL6 9QH. Moor Hall is located very centrally in Cookham, about a 15 minute walk from Cookham train station, but also with free parking on site.
Due to Covid regulations, I am asking everyone to wait at the entrance to the building and I will come to meet them at the start of their session. From there we will go together to the locations I'm using for photos. We should be able to try a few different settings and backgrounds for your photos, so you will have a variety to choose from. While you obviously won't wear a mask for the photos, please bring one for moving throughout the building. The session lasts approximately 25 minutes.
After the day, I will go through the images and pick out the best ones to send you in a small gallery. The photos will be not be edited, other than for colour correction and cropping. Once you have chosen your favourites, I will then edit these to a high standard, providing you with both a large full-size version and web-sized image. One photo is included in the session fee, but if you want more, they can be purchased for an additional cost.
For this mini-headshot session, including sitting fee, gallery and final edited image, the cost is only £50.
